About the Role
An impactful leadership opportunity for an experienced education professional passionate about transforming government school education in India. The role focuses on strengthening academic quality, teacher development, and holistic student growth across a network of schools developed as model institutions.
The initiative aims to create exemplary government schools that deliver high-quality education comparable to leading private schools, ensuring that every child realizes their full potential and becomes equipped for future career opportunities.
The selected candidate will work closely with schools, teachers, government education departments, NGOs, parents, and other stakeholders to drive meaningful educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
School Development & Infrastructure Alignment
Contribute to the planning and development of school infrastructure aligned with effective student and teacher engagement practices.
Support the setup and operational readiness of new schools.
Teacher Development & Capacity Building
Lead teacher training programs focusing on:
Modern pedagogy
Classroom engagement
Empathy and student psychology
Communication skills
Ensure continuous professional development for teachers.
Curriculum & Pedagogy Alignment
Align curriculum delivery with desired academic and developmental outcomes.
Implement innovative teaching methods and learning practices.
Academic Quality Assurance
Monitor and improve teaching-learning standards across schools.
Establish systems for academic evaluation, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Student Development & Career Guidance
Provide academic mentoring and career guidance aligned with multiple career pathways.
Ensure both high-performing and struggling students receive appropriate support.
Holistic Student Development
Promote well-rounded growth in students including:
Self-awareness and confidence
Communication and language skills
Gender sensitivity
Social awareness
Exposure to modern learning practices
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with NGO partners and educational experts to strengthen learning outcomes.
Maintain continuous dialogue with educators and stakeholders to refine academic strategies.
Government & Institutional Coordination
Work closely with school faculty and government education departments.
Ensure alignment with government policies and educational frameworks.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Track progress and outcomes across schools.
Provide feedback, evaluation insights, and recommend corrective actions where required.
Candidate Profile
Experience
Senior leadership experience in reputed private schools such as:
Principal
Academic Director
Dean
Senior Academic Leader
Education
Strong academic background in Education.
Minimum Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed.)
Additional certifications in:
Teacher Development
Modern Pedagogy
Educational Leadership
Quality Assessment (preferred)
Age Criteria
Preferred age below 65 years
Commitment
Ability to dedicate approximately 10–15 days per month to this role.
Location & Travel
Preferably based in Bangalore.
Willingness to travel regularly to school locations.
Language
Knowledge of Kannada is a strong advantage.
Work Structure
Flexible / Part-time engagement.
Work-from-home model with periodic stakeholder meetings.
Travel required to school locations.
