The Mumbai Spiritual Centre serves as a hub for satsangs, meditation, workshops, and various community activities supporting spiritual growth and holistic well-being.

Role Overview

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with statutory compliance, and ensuring smooth financial processes for the centre’s activities and programs.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain daily accounting records and ensure accurate bookkeeping

Record transactions, receipts, payments, and journal entries in accounting software (e.g., Tally)

Manage accounts payable and receivable

Maintain cash and bank reconciliation statements

Financial Documentation

Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and expense reports

Maintain financial records and supporting documents

Assist in preparing financial statements and monthly reports

Compliance & Taxation

Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings

Ensure financial records comply with accounting standards and organizational policies

Donation & Program Accounting

Maintain donation records and issue receipts where applicable

Track income and expenses for various events, programs, and workshops

Coordination

Coordinate with internal teams for expense tracking and approvals

Assist auditors during internal or statutory audits

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com preferred)

Basic understanding of accounting principles

Knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, and MS Office

Familiarity with GST and TDS basics
